Video Comparer is an application that helps you detect duplicate videos on your computer.
This program runs with almost all video file extensions. It has a nice design and an interface that doesn’t need advanced knowledge to use it. The home page greets with two sections, Scanned Files and Duplicate Videos. The first section shows you all the videos that you have selected and a few more details like their path, duplicate, group, size, date, duration, width, height, or status. The program gives you the ability to change the scanning mode from quick to full or to scan hidden folders. But the program’s main quality is its searching engine for duplicates. It looks for the videos' pattern not for their attributes like name, size or length. It finds any duplicate despite the fact that the video files are scaled, rotated, cropped, or time shifted. While scanning, you get a short report about the number of scanned videos, duplicates and the amount of comparisons processed per second. The Duplicate Videos section provides information about the similarity between two videos and it also gives you some sequence images. You can change the interface language or you can set up some parameters about the minimum and maximum video duration. The application comes with a useful backup option and it has the ability to save your previous searches, making the next scan faster. However, it could have been helpful to insert an export function that could ease your work. More
